Can’t I just get at-home aligners?

They might be an option! At home aligners can work, but they aren’t for everyone. You’ll want to avoid them if your smile needs more extensive realignment or your oral health isn’t the best.

What’s the best age to get braces or aligners?

If it looks like more serious alignment issues might develop later, then starting orthodontic treatment early (as a pre-teen) is usually better. For most people, the teenage years and early twenties are the ideal time because their bone structure is more mature but not yet fully set.

Are clear aligners only for mild or simple cases?

No, that’s a bit of a misconception. It’s true that there are some cases that only traditional braces can handle, but clear aligners are capable of handling difficult or complex cases.

How long will I need to wear my braces or aligners for?

With today’s orthodontic technology, most people take around 2 years to complete their orthodontic treatment. It all depends on your smile - mild cases can be as short as 6 months!

Does wearing braces or aligners hurt?

There’ll be some minor discomfort when you first get your braces or aligners since your teeth and mouth won’t be used to them. After that, there’s little to no discomfort.

Can I use benefits or insurance on orthodontics?

The answer to that comes down to your plan’s coverage. If you’re not sure, we can work with you to find out what your plan includes and help you get any coverage you’re entitled to.
